I'm feeling a bit better today. I didn't sleep last night because I basically slept the entire day Sunday. Oh well, hopefully I'll be back on schedule tonight. I'm trying not to nap. We had homeschool group this morning and exchanged Valentines. Caroline loved it. She got 30! (Grades K-3)
Here's a bit more about CHA....
It was really neat to see all the different booths. Basically it's like going to a scrapbook convention but every booth is a manufacturer instead of some being stores. Also, instead of there being multiple products, there's usually just one of each item. The largest booths were Heidi Swapp, K&Company, American Crafts and people like EK Success/Provo Craft which we didn't even order from (too cutesy). Heidi herself helped us at her booth and we did a make and take with her fuzzy rub-ons. Needless to say, those were first on our list of items to order. They are divine! Here's a pic of Heidi and her new best friend (heehee)...I was wise enough not to have my picture made standing beside someone who looks like HS.
The booths all had their own look and theme. Scenic Route was one of my favorites. It was tropical looking. Here's a pic of it. Layle Koncar was working the booth and I was excited to see her. The designs on the new Scenic Route are incredible! There's no distressing this time around which made me happy. The booth was busy with activity at all times. They had a great make and take - covering a composition book with their new paper. I just finished mine up today.
Here's another favorite booth - Doodlebug. They had their five year anniversary celebration this year. Their booth was very detailed, fun and happy. The colors were divine. They had little candy dishes and trinkets everywhere overflowing with their products. I just kept hanging around, feeling inspired.
As I mentioned yesterday, 7 Gypsies booth had incredible layouts and product in it. We were squished in there trying to see everything (along with Becky Higgins who was there at the same time). 7 Gypsies had a big ole 7 hanging up on a board that looked just like Jenni's "d" in her armoire at the store. It made me want to run home and pull out my new diamond dust! Glitter was everywhere by the way. We have been in the glitter phase at home because of Jenni but wonder who started it in the industry? Hmmm...deep thoughts. Anyway, here's a peek at 7Gypsies' booth.
Finally, my very favorite booth there - Melissa Frances. It was DIVINE!!! It helped that my friends were there but I kept making my way over there and hangin' around. Their make and take was also incredible. Like a little class. (Why can't I think of this stuff?) I would love to know who came up with it.
Tomorrow....pics of Las Vegas!
