I scrapped today!

Hey all! I actually did a layout today. Shock. Shock. My friend Jennifer Webb came over. She whipped together two layouts while I did about 1/2 of one. heehee Here it is. I like how it came out. It's just simple but I think that's what I do best. I'm really getting to be okay with that. I'm trying hard not to think about being published while I'm creating and after I'm done with something, I'm trying not to compare it to anyone else's work. I even told myself to smile tonight while I was putting my brads in. I said, "self! smile! this is fun!" and I smiled! I want to recapture the joy of scrapbooking. I turned it into a competition at some point and it zapped the joy. Speaking of that...

I watched Joel Osteen last night and he read the most incredible Bible verse. I said, "wow - that's for me!" and quickly wrote it down. Here it is...I want to remember this and apply it to how I feel about my scrapping...

Do your own work well, and then you will have something to be proud of. But don't compare yourself with others. Galatians 6:4 (Contemporary English Version)

Isn't that powerful? God always seems to have for me just what I need in His Word. Have a great day!

This turned out great! I love the way you did the title! The black with the colorful pics is very striking! Love it! Those two layouts I did? Well, it took way to long to decide what I was going to do and they are still title-less and journal-less! Let's see how long it takes me to finish them!

I love the layout! I also love the verse from Galations...great one for me to focus on today. I also have to remember that "in Christ there is no condemnation...." Good word for today my sweet friend...I will meditate on it.

Love you girl.

I love the layout. You are silly! I love all your layouts. I like the "cleaness" of them. (Does that make sense?)

Also, you have blessed me so much with the 2 verses you have put on here the last 2 days.

You are awesome- don't forget it!

Cute!! Why does it never occur to me to mix brads of different colors?

I agree...that verse is excellent and easily applicable to life.

Tracie, your joy makes you a special person--so few people have a heart full of joy in the Lord.

I am so glad you made time to scrap. Very cute LO.
I love the verses that you are posting. It is so good to hear.

We went to Chuck E Cheese for a bday party Sunday. I do not think I had EVER been on a weekend and prefer not to do that again. If I would have had Dalton with me I would have been a nervous wreck.

Love the layout! We have Chuck E Cheese's pics yet to be scrapped, so I hope you don't mind me lifting your idea!

Aaaannnnndddd, speaking of your work.......I saw your layout on page 160 (and you even get the best praise of all by Stacy herself!!!) in the new Designing Scrapbooks 2!
It's such a sweet, sweet layout.
