Thought I'd share with you my new system for organizing paper embellishments, i.e. rub-ons, stickers, quotes, die cuts, etc.
Previously, they were stored in 3 separate accordian files. I love accordian files for portability but these were so full I couldn't find anything! I had one for letters and two sorted by themes for embellishments. They were in the floor by my desk and I didn't like that either. No where to store them out of sight and they were just plain ugly.
So I remembered this big wooden basket that I wasn't using. I put all my embellishments in it, standing up, sorted by dividers of white cardstock with tabs. I staggered the items, short in front, tall in back over and over so I can see it all at a glance. I love it!!! Love it. Love it! I keep it on a spare chair and I can easily stand over it and flip through, seeing everything at a glance. It's even inspired me to actually use some of the stuff instead of just hoarding it! (Since I took this pic, I actually moved all the letter stickers to the back because the themed embellishments have more small items and they are easier to see in the front part of the basket.) It looks full but I actually have room for more. I had to put a set of small CK books in the middle to help it all stand up. Here's how it looked before I moved the ltr stickers to the back...
Is this cool or what???
