Just do it!

Thanks for all the recipes! They sound great!

This week, I've really been thinking about how short life is. I don't want to take even one day for granted. I want to live with purpose and according to His purpose (God's). I also had an a-ha moment yesterday when I realized that I only did 29 layouts in 2006! That's pitiful!! 29!

So then I stumbled across this really cool blog entry about scrapbooking and I was like "This is so profound!" Minda posted a comment on Kelli Crowe's blog. I liked what she had to say so I clicked to her blog and found this intriguing comment...

I have news for you. You ARE going to die. Sooner than you would like if you are like most people. And twenty years or so after that, you'll start to be forgotten. More importantly, right this minute you hold secrets in your head that NO ONE else knows. How you feel about politics. What form your belief in God takes. What your disappointments in life have been and how you have dealt with them. Why the things you do add passion to your life. Your proudest moment. What you love best about each important person in your life.

Are you seriously going to take all this important knowlege with you to your grave, because you were concerned about scrapbooking in order? Because you wasted precious time cleaning your scraproom or buying more supplies? (But they were 60% off you scream!) Go, right now, and record a memory, one of the million you have that are locked inside the treasure chest of your head. Record it on a blog. Record it in a book, record it in an email to yourself for later. Jot it down on a piece of paper. When you get home, grab a photo to go with it and put them on a scrapbook page and move on.
Dude - I needed that!!!

In the words of Nike - JUST DO IT!!

Hmmm...I'm developing a list of reminders for 2007...
- Start with the story.
- Don't re-invent the wheel.
- Take more everyday/candid pictures.
- Keep a daily journal.
- Just do it!

Are ya with me?

You are what your thought life is. Think on these things...whatever is good, true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. (Philipians 4:8) -Pastor Joseph Morgan

My motto for 2007 scrapping (since I no longer have a "home" to scrap at)

SET IT and FORGET IT! (yep rip off from the infomercial guy), but it works. Get the good stuff down and for me, try not to compare myself with the work of other scrappers who are oh so more talented and have all the latest toys and can call them by name! Use what I have and be happy! Getting to the basics I guess.
Miss you too btw, lost your email, contact me and we can hook up. We'll take pics of each other and title the LO "someone as OCD as me"
Or.."funny thing is" or "lists I make, friends I cherish" or or or

The funny thing is, it's the IT thing to use everyday items! LOL I am totally WITH you! Let's DO IT! I'm hoping to get more pages scrapped this year. No, GOING to.
