pie and marriage

I am telling on my husband. Everyone thinks he is so quiet and I always tell them that he doesn't say much, but what he does say is always hilarious. He is very quick-witted. So here's our conversation tonight after I ate ONE piece of his birthday strawberry pie from Shoney's...

me: That pie is awful!!! I can't believe I wasted my sugar calories on it!

mike: You sure did eat a lot of it for something you hated so much.

me: Well, it was good at the beginning and then at the end it just got weird.

mike: Kind of like our marriage?

Of course he was kidding but he is just so sassy. I, of course, had to be overly dramatic to make him feel guilty and told him I couldn't believe he said that to me after I almost died.

It's a good thing he's cute or I'd be mad.

LOL that is so funny. One of the things I love about Chris first was how he made me laugh.

Too funny - I fell in love with Mike's sarcastic sense of humor as well. So sorry to hear that you have had so many problems! Take care of yourself!

Mmmmmmmm! There's nothing like a funky pie, and a good marriage! Love the guilt trip you gave about nearly dying! LOL

And you should get a lot of mileage out of your "almost dying" for some time!
Use it girl!!!

I am so glad you are back around! I thought about you so much, but have been so busy with work. Hope all is well and hope to see you soon.

Wow...I would even use the if he were as "sweet as pie" you might not have almost died line....I say milk it girl...milk it.

I am at home convelescing after my own...."think I am having a heart attack" trip to the hospital. Scary stuff...puts stuff in perspective -- know I am thinking about you and praying for you. So glad you are on the mend -- don't push and take good care of yourself...I want you and your sense of humor around for a long long time. Love ya girl!
