I was just looking through an old photo album from 1999 and I found this picture. I took it the week I got my coverlet and shams for my bed.
I have yellow curtains that match the shams but I don't think I had gotten them yet in this pic 'cause the windows are bare.
So I was thinkin'....I think my bed has only been made about 10 times since then.
ha!
I just don't make my bed.
Currently, the shams are off to be washed, the dust ruffle is off and needs ironing and the rest of the room is a dusty mess. I'm going to work on the upstairs rooms this week - downstairs is all clean.
So do you make your bed? Did your Mother make you? Is it a habit you formed in your childhood?

My bed is made everyday!!!! My mother always made our beds when I was little, she couldn't stand it, LOL! My dh usually makes it before I get a chance (which is really nice!). He won't leave the house until the bed is made and all the dishes are washed, but I can't complain since he does all the dishes too, LOL!
NOPE! What's the point?
i make my bed now since i have a new comforter and i am trying to be neat which is an effort for me. hope you are feeling better? did you have fun at scrap, etc. how far is it to their store? fay
A made bed sleeps so much better and it only takes a couple of minutes to make the bed. One of my top 10 favorite things is a freshly made bed with sheets that have just been washed. I ever win the lottery, I will have a maid to change my sheets everyday. tbcrops
I love to make my bed. It's like an instant room makeover. Seeing my bed made is a little happy to me every time I glance in there. It's such a small thing and yet makes the whole room brighter.
Well, I guess I'm on my way to make my bed now...
I do! I do!
'Cause FlyLady tells me to!
But don't check my sink. :o}
Hmmmm....I have to say yes and no. I love having my bed made...particularly with clean sheets...and the process of turning it down before I go wash my face and brush my teeth before bed.
However, if time doesn't allow -- it is the first thing to get dumped off the list...particularly if it means a few more minutes of sleep in the morning.
nope whats the point if you sleep in it and mess it up everyday.
I clean my sink. the bed? Well. Hubby works nights, and so there's someone IN the bed when I get out. So no. Not so much the bed!
