my new theme song

With my handy-dandy new internet connection, I'm hearing songs from some of my favorite artists that I've never heard before! This is an old song that I haven't heard since I was little....I'd Rather Have Jesus. It's on The Crabb Family's new album. (They go to my church when they're not on tour.) I am going to be singing this for days. I've always loved it. Here are the lyrics...

I’d rather have Jesus than silver or gold;
I’d rather be His than have riches untold;
I’d rather have Jesus than houses or lands;
I’d rather be led by His nail-pierced hands

Than to be the king of a vast domain,
Or be held in sin’s dread sway;
I’d rather have Jesus than anything
This world affords today.

I’d rather have Jesus than man’s applause;
I’d rather be faithful to His dear cause;
I’d rather have Jesus than worldwide fame;
I’d rather be true to His holy name

He’s fairer than lilies of rarest bloom;
He’s sweeter than honey from out the comb;
He’s all that my hungering spirit needs;
I’d rather have Jesus and let Him lead
You can hear this song on The Crabb Family's My Space page by going here and clicking on the third song on the right.

Enjoy!

Wow, you are one blessed girl to have The Crabb Family attend your church. They are coming to our church in April and I am very excited.

I like this song, too. I always think of Louanne H when I hear it. She used to sing it at Z Chapel years ago as a Sunday Special.

I like the Crabb family. Don't they have awesome voices? But hey, you do too. You sing just like an angel.

Hope you are well! Still praying for you!

Hugs!
