It's about a young woman, Marty, in the early 1800's who travels out west, loses her husband, marries a widower out of desparation, falls in love with him and lives happily ever after. :)
I love it!!!!
They play it on Hallmark a lot but you can rent it at a movie place.
There are several in the series, originally from books by Janette Oke.
Caroline and I just watched it again and loved every minute. I cried and cried.
If you ever have a chance to see it - do it! Rent it. It is wonderful.
Here's a great scene from the movie...
Marty: I just don't understand why the God you pray to would let such unthinkable things happen to decent people.Love that!!! I think I'm gonna scrap it.
Clark: If I am walking along beside Missy (his daughter) and she falls, it's not because I allowed her to fall. But I pick her up and carry her and take care of her with a Fatherly love. The truth of God's love is not that he allows bad things to happen. It's His promise that He'll be here with us when they do.
Hope you had a happy Mothers Day.
I'm still sick but feeling it leave.
Hugs!

This sounds great! I'll be looking for it.
I spent Mother's Day on the couch with some kind of bug too. Kirsten had it first, then me.
Happy Mother's Day!
I'm a Janette Oke fan from way back--about the fifth or sixth grade, I think. Lovely movie. Have you read Francine Rivers? Did you see "The Last Sin Eater"? You must! You must!

I love this movie based on the book. There were 8 books total and would be great for Caroline to read in a couple of years. Hallmark just recently showed the 5th movie which should be available to purchased by the end of June. I can't wait to add it to my collection. Teresa B.
I read the series as a young woman...haven't watched the movies. Wonder if Blockbuster has them?
Hope you have a good week.
I think I read this years ago, but I haven't seen the movie. I'll keep an eye out for it on tv; since I'm off work, I'm running out of things to watch. LOL! Glad to hear that you are feeling a little better.

Sounds like a very good movie. I'll have to check it out. That's a good answer when people ask "why does GOD let bad things happen".
