Have you seen the latest Scrap It kit?
It features the new Scenic Route Ashville line and it is delightful!!!!
Here's what I came up with (click on each layout to see it in detail)....
I am making a Girl Scouts album and I was happy to see how well this kit matched my pictures! Check out Caroline's shirt...could it be a more perfect match? This layout will be the last page from her first year of Brownies.
One of the things I love most about scrapping is the beautiful paper. This brown floral is one of my favorites ever. Sometimes I like to just keep it simple and enjoy the design of the paper. When I look at this picture, I just think to myself "I'm so glad she's mine."
I love to do pages using pictures of things we might forget if I didn't scrap it. This is one of those pages. I always want us to remember Mike's Mom's cooking and how much we enjoyed it every Thanksgiving. (In case you can't read it, the line above the large title says, "It's not Thanksgiving without Grandma and her wonderful home cooking.") She is getting older and might not always be able to cook like this. My family and I were just talking about my own Grandmother this week and her fried pies. I'd give anything to have a picture of her in her kitchen or even just the pies. But no one thought to take one.
My favorite thing about this kit are the great chipboard letters. They are a great size. I really love the circles that came with the line, I have plans for some of those but there's only so much time in the day!!! I have loads of product left-over from this kit....rhinestones, ribbon buckles, buttons, arrows, paper, cardstock, flowers, a whole sheet of rub-ons. I'm thinking it's good for at least 6 more layouts.
Now I'm going to start on the Autumn Leaves kit. I love it too! Can't wait!
Thanks for checking in...see ya!
