This is my child on the way to Atlanta Friday.
We made a whirlwind trip to the Atlanta area to attend the Grand Opening service of our Pastor's daughter's church.
It's in Kennesaw, GA....a really nice area.
We left at 7:30 which is verrrrryyyy early for me.
It rained cats and dogs the whole way down there and it took us 5.5 hours to get there. Yuck.
We went straight to the new American Girl store in Alpharetta.
Caroline was on cloud 9.
She took Anna, her American Girl doll, with her.
Caroline had been studying the catalog and had made out a list of what she wanted to buy.Of course, it adds up quick there so she only got a little of the list.
She got an outfit and Halloween costume for Anna, the AG kitty-cat - Licorice, a dog-house for Coconut the dog, a guitar for Anna (with case), a baseball cap, a doll scrapbook book and some trading cards.
It was a wonderful place that we'll definitely be going back to soon.
After that, we ate at my favorite restaurant, On The Border.
I wish we had one around here - I love it! They make their chips and tortillas.
Then we dropped Mike off for a rehearsal with our band and my sister and I shopped.
I was kind of bored with the store selection and we were in a hurry.
Plus, I was driving our SUV, which is a stick shift so I tried to say off the main road.
So at 11:00 pm, their time, we leave the church and across the street....I mean RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET...from the church, I see a scrapbook store!!!!
I was so mad! Ugh. I couldn't stop shaking my head.
There it was, right there and I could have gone.
I have been wanting that new Becky Higgins compilation sketch book.
I guess it worked out for the best because I ordered it online tonight and saved $11.
We made it home in 3.5 hours and it was a fun day but I still can't believe there was a scrapbook store right across the street and I didn't know it!!!!!!
