girly men

What is up with all the girly boys on American Idol?
Is that indicative of today's high schools?
I am embarrassed for these boys that cry and cry during the auditions and
then look as much like a girl as a boy.

I was looking to see if the really girly ones had Dads in the audience and they did!
So where is the male influence?
The hair.
The clothes.
The way they talk.
I don't remember 17 year old boys looking like that in the 80's.
They looked like guys and I loved it.

I don't think I ever saw any of my guy friends cry unless they were at the altar.
Even then, it was rare.

Okay, don't get me wrong, I knew some puny little boys but they usually acted tougher than most guys to make up for their size.
If my son cried on national tv, I'd be mortified.

Now that one kid, David? He sang Better Shop Around. Wow!! Love him!
I hope he wins.
Unless a girl blows me away.

If a girly boy wins. I'm not watching anymore.
These kids make Clay Aiken look manly.

LOL! You crack me up, Tracie! I agree! Lots of feminine guys on the show this year. I love that David guy, too! I'm hoping one of the girls just rocks it out and is the best because I was shaking my head a lot wondering just how some of those guys even got on the show. That Daniel guy has GOT TO GO. Seriously. :) Happy Wednesday!

Manly men rock. Men with hair. Deep voices and strength. Give me a man's man any day of the week.

No girly men. :)

Why can't boys Cry, they are human right? Emotions and the stakes are high on this show.

Some boys are more "metro" than others and i guess more girly, but CAN sing.

It is a singing competition right?

Lots of girls guys on TV in general. We were flipping through the channels one night and I asked Mark what he wanted to watch and he said, "Something that doesn't have sweet guys in it". That narrowed it down to nothing! LOL!
