December Daily - Day 1

I am not done with any of my foundation pages so I'm just posting about my pictures and day for when I go back and actually make a page! I hope to have a bunch completed this weekend when I'll be crafting with some girlfriends.

Today was boring but busy so I'm not sure what to make the focus of my page. We mainly just caught up on school for about 4 hours while I cleaned.

Then I made a wonderful homemade vegetable soup. Wish I had taken pictures of the chopped up potatoes and carrots and had Caroline take one of me making it but I was in my pj's. :)
Went to church tonight and Pastor taught on the Holy Spirit and how Jesus tried to explain to his disciples that when He went away, the Comforter (the Holy Spirit) would come down and be INSIDE of us and that was great news! But they were filled with sorrow and didn't know the power that would be inside of them. (Like many Christians today, actually.)
Caroline practiced with her friends for our upcoming Christmas play. She has a acting role and she is dancing with some other girls. Can't wait to see it! Love these girls!
Hope tomorrow is more exciting and more holiday-ish!
I just read Ali's blog post from today and she said she is focusing on one story a day so that helped me!
I think I will journal about the soup and how I love comfort food during the cold wintery months.
I don't know how I could meld that with the pics from church - ideas?
I guess I could do the soup on one side and the church on the other and just say, "Starting off the Christmas season right, with time at church." or something.

If you're doing December Daily, please leave a comment and tell me what your day was like!

Love the idea of journaling about comfort food. And starting the season right by going to church. Not sure how you tie those in together! My photo for Dec. 1 is my advent box and journaling about the tradition. We didn't do anything special today either!

Hi Tracie! I've been reading your blog for a bit. Saw a post you had once on twopeas. (I'm a stalker over there as well.) Just thought I'd say hi and suggest "comfort and joy" for your December Daily. The idea popped into my head because, I don't know, maybe it's kind of corny, we get both from food and Jesus. I'm recording my December Daily moments, but haven't got any of it printed off or stuck down. Nor have I finished last year's book, but that's another story for another day.
