Thank goodness I have a Silhouette Cameo. I'm starting to wonder how I did my class without it.
Here are a few sneak peeks:
I cut loads of banner shapes - always a must!
some rings....
we're doing three Patriotic cards this month so lots of stars!
Love having some candy on my desk to give me energy...
Here's the box I carry all my kits in. I pack each kit in its envelope....
Now here's a fun tip I learned today. I had been having trouble cutting textured cardstock with my Cameo. It is so soft, it wants to rip or snag. Today I figured out that if I "mirror" the image and cut it out backwards on the smooth side of the cardstock....it works GREAT!! So happy!! See how easily these pulled away?
Only one letter didn't come off the mat and I quickly cut it out with my exacto at one tiny spot...
I feel better about life knowing I don't have to stick to just smooth cardstock.
I can just cut on the smooth side! Makes sense!
I actually use the smooth side of cardstock anytime I print on textured. I prefer the way my printing looks on the smooth side....
I'll be back tomorrow with the first of my five cards from this month.
Happy crafting!

Looks like you are well prepared and ready to have some fun! I can't wait to see how your sketches transferred to the actual cards you'll make. :)
Looks like you are ready for your class!!!
Thanks for the Cameo tip! I have trouble with smaller cursive wording snagging. I wonder if this would work for that problem, too.

I remember those days of cutting, prepping, and packing kits. At that time, I was so thankful for my Cricut. Thanks for sharing the cardstock tip. Definately will be trying that one next time I cut Bazzill.
