If you didn't catch my last post - be sure to take a peek.
I posted it late yesterday and it has my first two cards from my class.
Today I'll share with you a card that took forever to design, prep and make, although it looks super simple.
Go figure.
I have wanted to do a card with holes punched in it and something underneath for quite a while.
It seemed a complicated process to line up the holes using a punch so I designed the base on my Cameo.
(Is it me, or do you hear angels singing when I say Silhouette Cameo? Just me. K.)
Wait, where was I? Oh yes....I designed the base on my Cameo and cut it out 12 times (one for my sample + 11 students).
Here they are in the back of my box ready for class....
After designing and cutting, I then had to score each one and run all the bases through my printer to add the sentiment inside.
Then using some fun patterns, I added paper to the back of each hole and covered it all inside with one piece of kraft cardstock.
Then I embellished the front using more die cuts.
Here it is!
I cut the banner on a piece of glimmery Bazzill cardstock and ran each banner through the printer.
I waxed a bit poetic on the inside....it said:
May
your 4th of July
be
full of fun, laughter and
celebration
for one more day
in
the land of the free,
and
one more year in
the
home of the brave.
God
bless America!
