CKC Nashville

I love it when the CK Convention comes to town.
True - it gets smaller each time and you never know if there will be anything you really want there.
But the fun is in the expectation.

I had a list in my mind of product lines to look for -
  • Simple Stories Harvest Lane line for fall
  • October Afternoon 9 to 5 - I'm missing one sheet I want
  • Simple Stories Handmade Holiday Snap Pages which I know my LSS did not order
  • My Mind's Eye All is Bright Christmas Line by Rhonna Farrer
I scored three out of four! The only one I didn't find was the 9 to 5.
In fact, I was disappointed that no one had October Afternoon! Not one vendor.
How dare they!? It's my fave!

Here are a few snapshots I took at the convention.....

My shopping partner and someone who I love dearly, sweet Jann.

Here are some layouts I loved from the Jenni Bowlin booth. I've seen most of these before but I love seeing them in person!

From Jenni, love, love!

This one's by Briana Johnson....she is so sweet and has the best style!

This one's by my favorite scrapbooker of all time - Lisa Dickinson:

I'm not positive but I think this one's by my pal, Doris Sander - it looks like her handwriting. Very cute!

Two more by Lisa Dickinson - she is the bomb....

Jann and I snagged some Jenni goodies for dirt cheap. I own almost everything she makes because sometimes I help pack the Jenni Bowlin kits (Jann does too). But I couldn't resist picking up a few more things. Here's Jann and Jenni's husband, Jared, who is very handsome and always nice.

Love this canvas piece by Basic Grey that Jenni has a kit for. I want one:

Here are some fascinating cards from another booth. I'm always amazed by how intricate some people make their cards. Beautiful!

Check out these honey-comb pop-ups. Jann bought the paper and is going to do a video soon on how to use this. I can't wait to see it!
Aren't they cute! I would totally make that!

Here's a card using Flower Soft - a product I recently learned about.
I'm going to do a make-and-take using this for World Card Making day at the scrapbook store I teach at.
Can you see the red part at the top? It's almost like flocking, but thicker.'s a great layout we spotted on our way out the door.

I loved seeing all the product - all the layouts and all my friends! I ran into lots and lots of friends from all over.
I love how this hobby brings so many people into my life!

It was a great day! It won't be here again next year so I'm glad I got to experience it.

How about you? Have you been to any great conventions lately?

I had a blast with you! Came away inspired and hope to share some actual projects that I have made since being there! They are in process...I'm telling you that honeycomb stuff just takes me back to my childhood!

You totally showed my favorites from Jenni Bowlin's booth! Love her what her design team does with it!

Love you most of all!
