So I'm popping on to share a card I made as part of a set.
I often like to make a set of cards to give as a gift.
This week, I'll share four cards I made as a set last month, using Simple Stories Summer Fresh collection.
I'll also share the box I made to put them in.
Here's the first one.
I really like the look that I've been seeing lately of people cutting out words on their Silhouette and using the negative space.
So I gave it a try!
Using the far right side of this piece of paper for inspiration....
I cut down some of my favorite papers from this line and color-blocked them and came up with this:
I have to say....I LOVE IT!! Hope you do too!
I'll be back later this week with three more cards in the set and a sweet little box!
Stay crafty!

Yep, I know what you mean about life getting in the way...it's tough to find that balance. Beautiful card Tracie, love that you used the negative space on this card.
Lovely card!!
Cute card! I was having the hardest time blogging to. But I started picking a day and writing blog posts and then scheduling them out. It's helped me to fit some blogging into my schedule.
Ok...you TOTALLY ROCKED this card! LOVE it! such a wonderfully PRETTY paper line ... and I love the way you used the blocks....so going to have to try this! Thanks for the share and the inspiration
10 days is nothing! I ended up taking 4 weeks of summer off! *embarrased* The card is super cute! I live the faux washi look! Great interpretation of the inspiration piece. Thanks for sharing! -Amanda
Good thinking on using the journal sheet in the kit to pick papers for your card.
What a great idea. You have made a fabulous card!
