I hope you had a wonderful holiday season.
Mine was lovely, thank you.
I am super stoked that today is a day of brand new beginnings. A blank slate of a fresh new year!
To kick off the new year, I'm bringing my old style of blogging back.
See, I recently found the most inspiring book pertaining to blogging.
It's called "Artful Blogging" by Somerset Studio.
I had seen it before but never picked it up. I love how honest the bloggers are about their blogging.
I could not put it down. I devoured every word and soaked in every glorious photograph!
I really had an a-ha moment about my own blog while reading it.
Last year, I started off blogging with a bang.
I blogged about something crafty most days and did really well keeping up with it.
Because of that, I had a couple shout-outs on a couple manufacturer blogs and that made me happy.
What didn't make me happy was feeling like I couldn't blog unless I had something crafty to share.
That's not really why I started a blog or even what I want my blog to be.
I want it to be a place where I can share my thoughts and yes, my crafty projects but not just my crafty projects.
See here's a little secret I have to share with you. Come a little closer and I'll whisper it....
"I'm not really crafty that often."
I get on a roll and make cards or a mini-album or right now, my December Daily is in progress.
I don't make something crafty every day or even every week.
But I still live a fun and fulfilling life and I'm just a chatty person by nature who gets really enthusiastic about a lot of things that are fun to share!
I realized the bloggers I love mainly share their life and their photos and I just enjoy seeing them.
Kind of like watching a reality show. Someone else's life is always interesting because it's just different.
So I've decided to get back to my blogging roots and be the real me.
If you want to follow along, welcome aboard! Hopefully I can make you smile once in a while.
If you're looking for a daily crafty post - sorry but you will be disappointed.
I do promise to make you laugh on a regular basis if you'll stick around.
Here's to 2014, full of blog posts, crafty projects, great movies, good books, inspiring music and fun.
I'm doin' this!
Peace out and word to yo motha.
