must see TV

To go along with this week's podcast all about Pop Culture, I decided to make a layout about my favorite TV shows this season.
I think this would be a fun page to make every year because something new and fun is always on and others get canceled.
I printed these images from the web in a collage of 2x2 squares and I love how they came out!

This is definitely one of my favorite layouts I've ever made!

I want to use my Silhouette Cameo more often so I made the title on it. I popped the whole square up on some foam...

Here are some crummy iPhone pictures I took of something I want to share so excuse the photos but this is good!

One time I heard someone say that in order to make your die cut letters perfectly placed, you make a square and cut the letters inside it.
So step 1 in this process, I made the square the size I wanted, made my title, centered it in the square, cut it.
Adhered the square down with a dab of removable adhesive and then I just used a glue pen to dab glue inside the letter spaces...
See above I've filled in the first three letters and I'm getting ready to do the t.
Now here I have all the letters and the word "see" adhered inside the negative space...
Then I carefully peeled up the black square...
Voila! Perfect placement!
It's absolutely the best trick I know for using die cut letters. I love it!!!
You could even use this negative space for something if you wanted but I tossed it...

I hope that helps you line up your letters from your die cut machines.
Thanks for stopping by!

I'm doing a "month of me" album, an album that is all about me right now. I recently did the "currently watching". My shows were Vikings, Parks and Recs, Orphan Black, and The Americans. I think I LOVE shows with diverse women in them. I'll be posting that layout on my blog in the upcoming weeks. Thanks for sharing your layout!

Great layout! :) I've used that technique lots of times, even just to line up lettering - such a time saver!!! :)

Um, in the future, I want all of your negative space leftovers, ok? :) Great as usual!
