december daily 2009

Hello dearies!

I hope you enjoyed our podcast this week about my favorite topic, December Daily.
I've been waiting to share this album and each year I forget so finally I have a good reason to remember to post it!
This is truly my favorite project I've made to date. It captures so many moments I would have otherwise forgotten.

Here we go friends!

The cover is made with super thick chipboard and some of my favorite K&Co. Santa paper...
Day 1 is a sweet little envelope. We saw a movie so I printed that picture right off the interwebs...
Inside the envelope...
 a rub-on on the back...(by October Afternoon, I think)...
a pretty filler page to start off Day 2....
Day 2 is on the left side below...the JOY card starts Day 3...
a pull-out...
up close...
same day, different story.....
Day 4...I copied Caroline's drawing onto cream cardstock...
this day was just a pic of my half-finished decorations...

as you can see by this next page, your pages don't all have to be about Christmas events/happenings...
kit packing night at Jenni Bowlin's....I miss those days...

used my Fiskars scalloped punch to punch this picture after I adhered it to the page on the back...
this ended up being one of my favorite pages...the stars are fun and I love the collage...

Day 13 is about my favorite Christmas carols, the tag pulls out with the journaling...
Day 14 is about Christmas shopping and I realized a year or so later after making this that I had left out Day 15!! :)

the pics from Day 17 were pink and didn't fit so they were hidden in the envelope...
my friend's face is blurred because we were both without makeup that night and she cares but I don't...
this black and white pic looks better in real life...love my sweet sister, all my Christmas memories involve her...

the striped paper below is used three times in the album, I think. It was one 12x12 piece of paper although it looks like I pieced it together. I didn't - it came that way. I loved it so much, I kept using it and it helped to repeat the color scheme. I always try to have a consistant color scheme without making it too similar that it's boring...

I love one big photo from Christmas day. This was at my Mom's house. I only took a few photos that morning at my own house. I just wanted to enjoy the moment. They are above at left.
I believe if I hadn't been doing December Daily, I wouldn't have taken the pics of Caroline singing as Mike played Christmas carols on the piano and that is a moment I love!

I love how thick it is!

I'll be back this week with some of my failures at DD. I still love it and I won't give up! Gonna try again this year!

I love it!!!!!! I love doing a DD, even if it takes me a while into the next year to finish it :) I actually picked up my album & main kit (both CTMH) Saturday that I plan to fill in spaces with old stuff as well as some new wood veneers I ordered the other day from Evalicious. Yesterday I spent a while creating a blog post about my past DD's with links to the other posts...

Tracie - Beautiful album. Can you tell me where to find the donation link for The Scrap Gals Podcast. I thought it was on the blog site but I can't seem to find it.

Youve really inspired me , Tracie! Awesome job! Love the variety. Mine will be much simpler but I'm keeping it that way so I can accomplish finishing it! I'm also combining mine with 30 days of lists, should be fun!
