Heidi Swapp: my new bestie

Okay maybe "bestie" is going a bit far but I did actually have a conversation with her! I'm going to make her an honorary bestie. Yep, I'm doing it.

I saw Heidi this weekend, at a conference called "Thrive." It was to learn more about Young Living Essential Oils which I have been using for about two months now and have absolutely fallen gaga in love with! So much so that I am now a distributor and Heidi Swapp is too! I can't even explain it. Once I got my own kit of 11 oils and started using them daily, I was like, "How did I live without these?" You can't understand it until you use them.

I was super excited to see Heidi at Thrive and get to hear her words of wisdom about being successful in life and business. I furiously wrote down everything she said and will be pondering it in the days and weeks to come.

I learned so, so much at the event but the ideas Heidi shared were what really spoke to my soul. I listen to people talk on success pretty much daily. From my Pastor to one of my favorite mentors, Sean McCabe to crafty blogger, Elise Blaha, I'm really interested in growing as a leader and taking control of my time this year. Heidi gave me some great advice on how to do just that and coming from her, it meant so much. She is just someone I've admired for so long. She's really what I call "my very own ideal." I don't aspire to have a product line but I do want to be a prolific scrapbooker like she is and inspire others to tell their stories and be a memory keeper. I love Heidi's attitude and style. She's is the bomb dot com! Look how gorgeous!

She does everything with style. Even her power point slides were written in her handwriting...

She shared her pages and her photos with everyone and I think the non-scrapbookers were pretty impressed with how amazing it all looked. You would not believe how much people loved her. I was like, "Yeah, I know, (Barney Fife sniff), I've been following her for 10 years." ha-ha! And PS: if they only really knew what her products and projects look like, we would probably have had a bunch of scrapbook converts on our hands. I loves me some scrapbook newbies. :)

There were signs in the foyer that were wooden words made from her writing...

There was a mailbox for us with her new Marquee letters...

The whole experience was super positive and her being there was just icing on the cake! I love this sign...it's a good reminder for us all!

I got to hang out with one of my favorite friends, Michelle Woods, that I don't see very often but love!

I was so impressed with all the signage and the entire event was top notch professional. It was an all around great experience.

If you want to hear more about my weekend and some of the questions I asked Heidi, be sure to tune in this week to our show! Here's a link.... The Scrap Gals Podcast: Spotlight on Heidi Swapp

Be back Friday with my memory planner spread but before that, I'll be sharing about the boatloads of new Heidi Swapp product I've bought in the last few weeks! I've got lots of pictures ready to share so see you back here soon!
