Hello lovies!
Today I decided to clean off my desk so I could have a fresh start for my next project. I hated to toss all the beautiful scraps from my Artful Memory Planner spread so as I often do, I decided to make some cards using mixed patterns.
Here's a peek of the scraps left over from my project:
I pulled out the tiniest pieces and tossed them and I was left with pieces that coordinated...
In the stack was a thin piece of white cardstock so I cut it into two 5.5 x 4 pieces.
Then I cut all the scraps into 1/2" strips, making two separate piles...
I adhered the strips to the white cardstock pieces I had cut. I decided to make one card with diagonal strips and one with straight strips. I cut the straight strips piece down so I could have a border around the edge of one card...
I looked through the scraps with words that were left over for something to use....
Grabbed my Simple Stories sticker letters and ended up with these two cards...
The one on the right I will send to a friend and the one on the left I will send when someone does something wonderful and I want to brag on them! :) I love having cards on hand but I like to make sure they say something on the front I will really use. Sometimes I see handmade cards that make no sense!
In case you're wondering....after making these two cards, I tossed the rest of the scraps. Some were fairly large but by this point, I'm sick of all of these patterns and this color scheme so it's time to move on.
Have you made any cards lately?

You rock card-making, Tracie!!!
I used to make cards all the time, but now I almost never make them. I love receiving them and I love the idea of sending someone a little happy mail, so I SHOULD make some! Thanks for the inspiration!
I love these. That is a great idea! =D
