This is me at two years old. I've pretty much been entertaining people since about this point. This is the real me...I'm just a little bit taller and fluffier now.
Nine years after we were married, we had this darling girl we call Sweet Caroline. She is almost 20 now (gasp!) and a lovely young lady.
We live in the hills of Tennessee, more specifically, very near Nashville. Yee-haw y'all! This is my little spot where I sit and make stuff up.
I started scrapbooking in 2001. My style is clean and classic with an emphasis on storytelling.
After working and teaching in four scrapbook stores, I became certified as a scrapbook instructor by EK Success. I love to teach and talk about scrapbooking more than anything else in the world! My mission in life is to get people printing their photos, telling their stories and I want them to have fun doing it. If I can make someone laugh and feel happy, my job is done. :)
In early 2015, I left a job of almost eight years as a personal assistant to work full-time on my creative business. Many people wonder what that means so here's the answer:
I host The Scrap Gals Podcast. We have a subscription service that offers a weekly, one-hour podcast plus loads of digital goodies for you to print and scrapbook with!
I used to teach scrapbook and cards classes locally, that is currently on hold. I do still love to make cards. Here's an example of one of my faves.
I used to have some online classes available, including a series Ready, Sketch, Go! They are retired now and I'm done with online classes for a while.
A few years ago, I released a class at Big Picture Classes. It's called Start with the Story and you can find out more about it here. If you're not a member of BPC, you can get a FREE trial membership so you can take my class!
I contributed to a class at Get It Scrapped with Debbie Hodge. It's all about Pocket Pages and it is chock-full of scrappy info! You can find out more about a membership at GIS here.
I spend my days chit-chatting in the Facebook group I host with Tiffany Lowder (my Scrap Gals Co-Host who is also one of my besties). This is a great group of more than 10,000 ladies who love to talk all things scrappy. If you're looking for a place to hang out, join us!
If you want to see samples of my work, here is a gallery. I love to make cards, mini-albums, pocket pages, art journals, artful memory planners and layouts. Oh! I also am obsessed with Disney. Here's a Disney album I made and I'm starting a new one soon.
So that's it. That's me. I hope you'll stop by and visit again soon!

I am a subscriber to both Scrap Gals podcast and your Disney podcast and love them both. Are you going to be doing any more of the Disney podcasts? It is probably a huge amount of work to put out podcasts, but they are really enjoyed and appreciated! Congratulations on your new creative career, too!
A fun post to read. Beautiful creations and wow you are busy in our crafty world. :)
This was so fun to read! I am super excited for you, Tracie - this must be like a dream come true to make your passion for all things scrappy and crafty your job!!! Your love for sharing this shines through!
Nice to learn some more about you. I like your scrap space. It looks like it is in the family room? I have had a ton of scrap spaces and one of my favorites where I got the most done was behind the couch like that. Now I have my own room which is awesome but I don't get as much done since I am not in the middle of everything.
Great background blog, Tracie. Wow, you make me tired just reading about all your accomplishments. You should be proud of everything you've done, and I'm so happy for your success. You've worked hard to get where you are in your career, so enjoy the success you've achieved. And I'm looking forward to seeing what else you have up your sleeve to surprise us all with.
Thanks for the re-introduction of yourself. In the last month or so, I discovered the Scrap Gals podcast, and have been catching up with episodes from the very beginning. You and Tiffany are delightful listening. I envy your productivity - good luck with making your full-time living from your craft.
I found your blog a couple weeks ago but I forgot to bookmark it! Thanks for the "catch up" on all your wonderful talents!
So happy to see you blogging regularly again! I know this stuff about you and still loved today's post. :)
I'm running over to check out the scrap gals podcast now - thanks for such a lovely about page explaining the 411 - nice to 'meet' you :)
Very nice overview of your work and life. You were an adorable toddler!
