live inspired: let's get creative's suzy west

This week, on the Live Inspired podcast, I'm talking to designer, educator and event coordinator, Suzy West. Suzy, who has traveled the world teaching scrapbooking, is currently hosting events called "Let's Get Creative" at major manufacturers and scrapbook stores across the country. Her story about getting started in the industry is fascinating and fun to hear.

I had fun talking to Suzy and hearing all about her scrappy adventures. Ironically, as I was editing the show, one of my friends posted about going to an event where Suzy is teaching. They sound like a lot of fun! If you'd like to get on Suzy's mailing list to hear more about her events, visit her Facebook page for a link to her newsletter sign up or e-mail her at

I'm counting down the hours until the release of my newest class, "The Ins and Outs of Titles!" Check back here tomorrow for a list of what is included in the class and a link to purchase!

Have a great day!

I loved this podcast. Suzy is so knowledgeable and inspiring. I can't wait to sign up for her newsletter. She is someone who was able to take the reins and go! I realized from the interview that someone like Suzy who has been able to teach across the country (and around the world) over the years has helped to keep the scrapbooking stores open as long as they were. And concluding the interview, she mentioned that probably 75% of all those stores have closed now. But I do see a need for teachers like her to physically be available around our country for many to learn this creative craft. I watch YT videos and learn by looking at blogs and FB posts, and of course...sign up for online classes (duh!). But there's nothing like hands-on learning. I am sure the manufacturers appreciate her talents and gifts being used to sell their products. I love the idea that she uses so many different mediums and techniques...not just for scrapbooking but for home decor and gift-giving. Such a talent. I'm so glad you had her as your guest. Thanks Tracie! I loved that she explains herself so well and was so interesting. I was listening while taking my walk, and walked an extra mile instead of splitting my listening into two walks as usual. lol.
