live inspired: doris sander: memory keeper. documenter. artist.

This week, on the Live Inspired podcast, I'm talking to my good friend, Doris Sander, about the ebb and flow of creativity and how her memory keeping has changed through the years. We discuss her creative journey, including her work for many years as Marketing Coordinator for Jenni Bowlin Studio aka JBS Mercantile.

As I said in the show, Doris is someone who just oozes creativity and a natural writer. I have always loved her 12x12 scrapbooking and she's excels at design and artistry in memory keeping. It really surprised me when she stopped doing as many layouts and went to Project Life and then I was again surprised when she went to a smaller format but I love that she embraced something completely different for her memory keeping and reignited her fire for it.

I think it's good for us to try something different sometimes and just see what it feels like. We can't really know if we like something unless we give it a try. Doris is a great example of this and I admire her for thinking outside the box.

Here's one of my favorite layouts by Doris that she did recently. Gorgeous!

Here's an example of her Midori Memory Keeping:

Don't let that overwhelm you. She's great at collage but you can do it clean and simple too.

Here's an example of her Hobonichi that she draws in. Love this!!!

She mentioned not updating her blog but it is full of great content so be sure to check her out there and on YouTube and Instagram.

I'm having dinner with Doris tomorrow night and looking forward to planning a crafty night. It's so nice to still have at least a couple local friends who are crafty! Have a great weekend!
